Commissions

In my private life I value sustainability very much. From being vegetarian to moving mainly by bike, I do everything I can ti impact the environment as little as possible.
It is my intention to apply this life approach to my ceramics as well. Since ceramic items cannot be recycled once fired, I want to be aware of how much non-recyclable material I put into the world. For this reason, I decided to design smaller limited collections - the pieces that you can find in the shop - and then work mainly on commissioned orders, to try to avoid any material waste.

Here's how it works!

Step 1
You can contact me with your pottery request - you can find a dedicated form here on the Contacts page or just conatct me on Instagram. Don't be shy, just ask what you would like to have!

If the piece(s) you'd like to have is within my style and possibilities, we can talk more in detail. Some forms and types of vessels come as standard, so me need prototyping and testing and thus more time to be developed and created.
The type of items, quantity and timing will determinate the price. I will prepare a cost overview and you can then decide whether to more further with production. Depending on the size of the order, I will ask for a down payment of 20% of the total cost.

Step 2
We will define in detail the vessel: the shape, sizes and proportions, depending on how you want to use it. I will prepare sketches with some options, to give you an idea of what's possible to get.

Step 3
We can define a color palette together. There are some Standard Color Palettes, color schemes that I have tested and used in the past for my ceramics and would like to keep offering. Otheriwse, you can opt for a Custom Color Palette. You can give me a brief about what you like, what inspires you, what you want to think about when you use my ceramics, and I will come up with some proposals on paper.

Step 4
You can see the final effect of the colours on sample tiles that I normally use to test new colour combinations, compare different tones and see what you like best.

Step 5
If you want to purchase a set of ceramics and be sure that you like the piece, I can prepare a prototype that we can check together. I want my customers to be satisfied with their purchase and be sure of what they get from me.

Step 6
Then, production time! At the moment I don't have my own atelier, but I work in a community studio, and I work only part-time as a ceramist. This situation sets limits for me in terms of production time, which at the moment is between 4-10 weeks, depending on the type and complexity of the order. I hope you can understand this and be willing to wait a few weeks to get my ceramics. I will do my best to prepare the pieces in the shortest time possible.

In the Gallery section of the website, you can find examples of the commissions I made during the last months.

Last but not least, my pieces are created to be unique in terms of decoration and it is not part of my creative approach to recreate them identically in series. The pieces may belong to the same series, have similar decorations and in the same colour palette, but each one is different and has its own uniqueness. If you see objects I have made in the past and would like to have them, be aware that the new piece will be similar, not identical.
